This page is dedicated to the Learning and Development of all members across our Lions District.

Leadership Development is critical to the overall success of any organisation, including Lions Clubs International.

The Global Action Team – Global Leadership Team (GLT) provides the vision, guidance and motivation necessary to positively impact our association, assuring our position as the global leader in providing needed community service for many years to come.

Many of the skills Lions gives us can be transferred to our every day lives, this year we gave courses planned including:-

New Members Sessions, Conflict Resolution, Public Speaking, Meeting Management, MyLion to name but a few.

We provide courses across the Lions Year both face to face and virtually.
Keep an eye out in the District News Letter for details of future courses.

Upcoming Training

Over the course of the Lions Year 2020/2021 the Global Leadership Team in partnership with the District Governor Team, the Global Action Team and District Officers will be offering a wide variety of development opportunities.

If you wish to attend any of them please email glt@lions105cw.org.uk stating your name, your membership number, your club, and the event you would like to attend including the date.

Dementia Friends Workshop 

The District Governor’s Partners Appeal this year is focusing on Dementia, and raising awareness of those who are living with dementia. As such we are hoping to make many Lions Dementia Friends over the 12 months.

We will be running sessions both face to face and over zoom – we are challenging Lions across 105CW to become a Dementia Friend, learn more about what it is like to live with dementia and turn that understanding into action.

Join PDG Lion Ian Haffner as he takes us through what our International Foundation does and how it impacts those most in need around the world. He will go on to explore how we can support the ongoing work of LCIF.

Do you have the time or skills to help a club who might need some support?  The Certified Guiding Lion Programme is run across the world and gives experienced Lions the skills and opportunities to make a difference to our district and international association. Find out how you can support a new club or a club who is experiencing a difficult transition and the tools LCI have to offer you.
